Bowen Advisors Serves as Strategic Advisor to TelStrat

BOSTON, October 26, 2017 – Bowen Advisors is pleased to announce that its client, TelStrat, a Dallas-based leading provider of call recording, quality, analytics, and workforce management (WFM) solutions, has been acquired by Serenova, a globally scalable contact center-as-a-service (CCaaS) provider. Serenova, formerly known as LiveOps Cloud, is backed by Marlin Equity, a global investment firm with over $6.7 billion of capital under management. Bowen Advisors acted as the exclusive sellside M&A advisor to TelStrat. The transaction, Bowen Advisors’ 14th of 2017, represents the firm’s continued commitment to the converging unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS), CCaaS and workforce optimization (WFO) markets.

Founded in 1993 and family-owned, TelStrat has a rich history of providing innovative solutions for contact centers of all sizes. The addition of TelStrat’s Engage product line will enable Serenova to provide a natively integrated solution for CCaaS and WFO, increasing agent efficiency and optimizing customer experience.

“As consolidation in the WFO market has quickened over the past few years, Paul Bowen and his team helped us evaluate and navigate our various strategic options,” said Bob Carroll, TelStrat CEO. “Bowen Advisors is well connected in this marketplace, and was an invaluable source of market knowledge and relationships with both strategic and private equity parties.”

“While our historical client base has predominantly been venture-backed companies, we are seeing an emergence of family-owned businesses and we realize that they have a unique set of advisory requirements,” said Paul Bowen, President of Bowen Advisors. “We have known the Carroll family since 1999 and we are honored to have had the opportunity to help Bob, Dan and Jenny write the final chapter of TelStrat and begin a new and exciting chapter with Serenova.”
