Bowen Serves as Strategic Advisor to Sedona

BOSTON, July 13, 2021 – Bowen is pleased to announce that Sedona Systems, a leader in multilayer network automation and control, has been acquired by Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO). Bowen acted as the exclusive sellside M&A advisor to Sedona in this transaction.

Headquartered in Ramat Gan, Israel, Sedona is the creator of NetFusion, a transformative network intelligence & automation platform. NetFusion software is the first to deliver complete network abstraction and control, allowing CSPs to manage across domains, vendors, layers, and technologies. NetFusion will be integrated into Cisco Crosswork to create a holistic network automation solution that accelerates Cisco’s Routed Optical Networking strategy.

“We have one simple goal in our network automation strategy – simplification. With Sedona NetFusion joining the Cisco Crosswork portfolio, we will deliver the most advanced network automation platform for Cisco’s Routed Optical Networking Solution to achieve this goal,” said Kevin Wollenweber, Vice President, Product Management Service Provider Network Systems. “Now, CSPs can gain real-time, dynamic, and seamless control of IP and optical multi-vendor networks together.”

“Sedona’s software is a key enabler for network automation and for advanced services, such as network slicing,” said Bill Rich, Managing Director. “Bowen’s Cloud & Communications practice is at the forefront of innovation in networking and IT. We are singularly focused on helping category leaders like Sedona achieve strategic outcomes for shareholders and teams.”
